Behind the build

The lab
Charlie Knudsen

StrideLabs is where I share the tools I build.

I'm Charlie Knudsen, a software engineer building the developer tools I want in my own workflow. Most of these projects come from coding alongside agents like Claude Code, then polishing the parts that keep proving useful.

StrideLabs is the umbrella for that work. 'Lab' is for experimenting in the open. 'Stride' is steady progress, one useful step after another, and a nod to trail running, marathons, and the long runs that clear my head. The owl is a visual thread across the projects, but the projects are the point.

The tools here are young and at different levels of maturity. Some are things I mostly just use now; others are still changing quickly or are experiments I am testing against real work. I try to make that clear without turning the site into a roadmap.

I like tools that are close to the metal and still pleasant to use: native terminals, microVMs, bytecode analysis, process supervision, terminal UIs, and one-line installs. The common thread is practical developer UX for people working with agents, not agent branding for its own sake.
